Dr. Deepak Mehta
Dr. Deepak Mehta received his BDS degree from Bangalore University, Karnataka, in 2001. In 2004, he completed his Master’s Certificate in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics from Bapuji Dental College & Hospital, Davangere, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences’, Bangalore. He is the recipient of the Best Postgraduate Student Award presented by the Federation of Operative Dentistry of India & Indian Endodontic Society in the year 2005. He successfully completed the Post Graduate Certificate program in Aesthetic Dentistry from Suny Buffalo University, New York & Encode in the year 2005.
Committed to advancing the art and science of restorative dentistry, he served as a Professor in the Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, V.S.Dental College & Hospital, Bangalore until January 2015. He completed his PhD in Dental Materials from Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan in 2015. He has being appointed as a Smile Care Expert for the Ponds Femina Miss India 2013, Bangalore Chapter. He is the recipient of the “Outstanding Dentist of the Year 2013” award presented by Famdent-Excellence in Dentistry Award.
Dr. Deepak Mehta is an accredited & board member of the Indian Academy of Esthetic & Cosmetic Dentistry (IAACD) and founding member of the International Association of General Dentistry (IAGD). He is a member in good standing of the American Society for Dental Aesthetics. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Indian Academy of Aesthetic & Cosmetic Dentistry for the year 2012. He has published several enlightening articles on direct and indirect bonding techniques. In addition, Dr. Mehta has written numerous articles and chapters for various National & International journals/text books and serves on the editorial review board for the Journal of Contemporary Dental Practice, Journal of Oro-facial & Dental Research, Journal of International Oral health, World Journal of Dentistry, Journal of Conservative Dentistry, Dental Poster Journal, Dentition & Guident.
He takes special interest in Composite Bonded Restorations, having great pleasure in teaching direct and indirect restorative techniques in a comprehensive way, allowing for an easy and pleasurable learning experience.
He has done his thesis on adhesive dentistry & he lectures extensively in India & abroad. He has been an invited speaker to Kathmandu, Nepal for Nepal Dental Congress, Restorative Congress; Hamburg, Philippines, Malaysia, Phuket, Brunei,Srilanka and across South East Asia. He conducts workshops & trains exclusively on Bonding Dentistry, Aesthetic Dentistry & Endodontics.
Dr. Mehta maintains a private practice in Bangalore emphasizing esthetic dentistry & focuses mainly on Minimal invasive/ adhesive dentistry & Endodontics.

In deep cavities. very close to pulp, you don’t need any pulp capping before using an etchant ?
